A set of Dublin drivers caught a combined 130km outside the lockdown limit were immediately sent home this weekend.
Families from Tallaght and Blanchardstown headed for the scenic Baravore in Glenmalure, Co. Wicklow, a staggering 26 times in total over their recommended 5km limit.
Officers at the tourist attraction did not think twice about demanding the drivers return back to where they came from, sending them 60km home to Tallaght and 70km to Blanchardstown.
They also had to ask a family from Carlow to make the 50km journey all the way back after being stopped along with the Dubliners.
